My Files

My Files is the primary view into your Personal Online Hub. This screen is where you view and manage all of the files and folders in your collection of materials.

 

Add

The ADD button allows you to add print content such as magazine articles and advertisements to your account by typing in the associated barcode number. It also enables you to add personal files from your computer or to create a new folder.

 

Add Magazine Articles

By selecting the ADD button and entering the number from a WuliWeb barcode, you can add the associated article or advertisement to your hub without the use of a barcode-scanning device. Clicking ADD MAGAZINE ARTICLE completes the process by bringing up a FILES PROPERTIES dialog box.

 

Add Personal Files

By selecting the ADD button and clicking BROWSE, you can search your personal computer for files to upload into your WuliWeb hub. Clicking ADD NEW FILES completes the process by bringing up a FILES PROPERTIES dialog box.

 

Add Folder

By selecting ADD and clicking ADD A NEW FOLDER, you can create a new folder. Type in a descriptive name and press ADD A NEW FOLDER. The folder will appear in the folder list. You can add additional folders on this screen or press CLOSE to close the screen.

 

Manage Files

The MANAGE FILES button contains all the widgets necessary to delete, move, and copy your hub's files. Prior to clicking MANAGE FILES, select the files you wish to organize by checking the box to the left of the file name.

 

Delete Selected Files

By selecting MANAGE FILES and clicking DELETE FILES, you can move the selected files from My Files to your Recycle Bin for future disposal. Click DELETE to complete the transfer.

 

Move Selected Files

By selecting MANAGE FILES and clicking MOVE FILES, you can move the selected files to another folder. Choose the destination folder from the drop-down menu and it will be moved from the folder in which it currently resides to the new destination folder.

 

Copy Selected Files

By selecting MANAGE FILES and clicking COPY FILES, you can duplicate the selected files into another folder. Choose the new folder from the drop-down menu and the files will be copied into it. They will also remain in the folder they currently reside.

 

Manage Folders

The MANAGE FOLDERS button contains all the widgets necessary to delete, rename, share and transfer your folders.

 

Share a Folder

By selecting MANAGE FOLDERS and clicking SHARE A FOLDER, you can alter the sharing status of a folder.

 

1. Select the folder whose status you wish to modify from the drop-down menu.

2. If you want to share the folder, select ADD USER to browse through your address book. Check the box next to the name of the user and click SELECT. Fill out the email message to notify the user of the new folder and click SEND.

3. If you want to take share privileges away from a user, check the box next to that name and click DELETE USER.

 

Other information in this dialog box includes: the e-mail address of the person who owns this folder and the level of access you currently enjoy on the selected folder and whether or not you can share it.

 

Add New User

If your folder access rights indicate that you can share the selected folder, you will see an ADD USER button. Clicking on it will take you to your address book where you can select one or multiple contacts with which to share this folder. (Remember, you cannot share folders with someone who is not listed as a contact. To add new contacts, select ADD CONTACT at the bottom of your address book and complete the information form.) Once you have checked the box next to all the contacts you would like to have access to the selected folder, click on the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the dialog box.

 

Delete a Folder

By selecting MANAGE FOLDERS and clicking DELETE A FOLDER, you can delete a folder.

 

1. Select the folder you'd like to delete from the drop-down menu.

2. Check the box if you would like to delete all the files within that folder. (If you don't delete them, they will be accessible through your All Files folder.)

3. Press DELETE.

 

Rename a Folder

By selecting MANAGE FOLDERS and clicking RENAME A FOLDER, you can rename a folder that you currently own. (You are the owner if you originally created the folder or if someone transferred ownership of the folder to you.)

 

1. Select the folder whose name you would like to change from the drop-down menu. Once selected, it will bring up a new dialog box.

2. In this new box, type in a new name and press RENAME.

3. Repeat for another folder or press CLOSE to finish.

 

Transfer a Folder

By selecting MANAGE FOLDERS and clicking TRANSFER A FOLDER, you can transfer ownership of a folder to another user. (You are the owner if you originally created the folder or if someone transferred ownership of the folder to you.)

 

1. Select the folder you would like to transfer from the drop-down menu.

2. Type in the e-mail address of the person to whom you are transferring ownership.

3. Check the box if you would still like to retain access to the folder after the transfer.

4. Select TRANSFER A FOLDER.

5. An email message will be created that will be sent to the person you selected to transfer the folder to - alerting them that you have transferred ownership of a WuliWeb folder. You can view the message that WuliWeb will send with your email by clicking on VIEW MESSAGE. You will not be able to edit this message but you may add your own message in the field provided.

 

Stop Transfer - Once you have transferred a folder to another user, a STOP TRANSFER hyperlink will appear next to the name of the folder in your account until the user has accepted the transfer. If you decide to stop the transfer, simply click on this link.

 

Send

By clicking the SEND button you can access the WuliWeb service to send messages or files and your address book for managing contacts. For more information, see Send E-Mail and Files in the HELP section.
