Access Rights

If you are the owner or manager of a folder, you can see and modify the access rights of other users by clicking in Share A Folder. A definition of the various access rights follows:

Owner

If files other than magazine articles and ads are included in a folder, the owner of the folder is responsible for the disk space used. The owner is usually the WuliWeb user who first created the folder. If the original creator transferred the folder to another user, that user would now be the owner. To transfer ownership of a folder, see My Files.

Manager

Only a folder owner can set Manager access rights. Checking the MANAGER option gives another user the ability to assign access rights for that particular folder.

Read-Write

Checking the READ-WRITE option allows the folder member to view and alter the files in the folder.

Read-Only

Checking the READ-ONLY option allows the folder member to only view the files.

Delete User

To stop users from having access to a selected folder, check the box next to their names in the Access Rights List and then click on the DELETE USER link. They will no longer have access to that folder but will remain in your address book.

Save to Address Book

To add a current user to your address book from the Access Rights List, click the check box next to the user's name and then click on SAVE TO ADDRESS BOOK.

Email Sent to New Users

When you have completed making changes to the Access Rights of a particular folder, click on the CLOSE button at the bottom of the screen. If you have added new users to a folder, an email message will be created that will be sent to the new users alerting them that they have a new folder shared to them. You can view the message that WuliWeb will send with your email by clicking on View Message. You will not be able to edit this message but you may add your own message in the field provided.
