Sharing Files

There are two ways that WuliWeb allows you to share files:

1. opening up access of one of your folders to another person(s)

2. e-mailing a file directly to another user

1. Share a Folder

By selecting MANAGE FOLDERS and clicking SHARE A FOLDER, you can alter the sharing status of a folder.

1. Select the folder whose status you wish to modify from the drop-down menu.

2. If you want to share the folder, select ADD USER to browse through your address book. Check the box next to the name of the user and click SELECT. Fill out the email message to notify the user of the new folder and click SEND.

3. If you want to take share privileges away from a user, check the box next to that name and click DELETE USER.

Other information in this dialog box includes: the e-mail address of the person who owns this folder and the level of access you currently enjoy on the selected folder and whether or not you can share it.

2. Sending A File

You may either select the files before clicking the SEND button, or you can attach the files after clicking SEND. (Click on the SEND FILES button in the Send E-Mails and Files dialog box screen. By clicking on the ATTACH FILES button in your e-mail form, you will be able to navigate through your hub for the file to attach. Next to the ATTACH FILES button on the e-mail form, you will see a list of files that are currently attached.)

When you send files through WuliWeb, you are actually sending a copy of the files to your recipients' WuliWeb accounts.  An e-mail is sent to the recipient's e-mail address informing them that they have new files at WuliWeb.  (If they do not currently have an account, WuliWeb will hold the files for them until they sign up.)

The to:, cc:, and bcc: fields are links allowing you to address your e-mail through your WuliWeb address book. To view the message that WuliWeb attaches to your email, click on the VIEW MESSAGE hyperlink. You will not be able to edit this message but, you can add your own message in the field below the subject line.
